A Beginner's Approach to the Study of Cannabis

Course Summary

This is a comprehensive study where we will uncover what cannabinoids are, the effect that some of them have on the body, and how to use them.

Cannabinoids, the active substances exclusively found in the plant species Cannabis sativa with subspecies C. sativa, C. indica and C. ruderalis, possess strong pharmacological actions. They are active in virtually every signal messenger system in the central nervous system, the peripheral nervous system and immune system. In fact, all immune cells are covered with CB2 receptors.

Here we will go over some of the basics of Medical Cannabis. We will explain the common cannabinoids and how they interact with our bodies natural endocannabinoid system, the difference between Sativa and Indica plants, an intro into terpenes which make up the smell and taste of cannabis, and also methods of cannabis consumption.
